Membership Overview:

There are approximately 15 gallery members that collectively run the gallery. Members are all volunteers and do not receive monetary compensation for their time and labor.

Common responsibilities for all the members are to work the general gallery operations. These responsibilities are weekend gallery sittings, installations, opening receptions, and meetings.

In addition to shared tasks stated above, members are required to take on a specialized role. All positions offered are listed in the subsequent sections below.

The gallery is typically open every Saturday and Sunday 12-5 pm. Most of the activities occur on the weekend with minimal responsibilities occurring on a weekday. Weekday tasks may include additional installation days and planned class visits from higher learning institutions. While we do not expect our members to be available for every request the gallery needs, we do want people to be proactive and present.

Decisions are made as a collective and all members have equal voting rights.

Members are required to pay a $50 monthly due for 12 months. This is used to subsidize the cost of operations of the gallery.

Monthly Dues:

Dues are $50 per month. Dues are used to subsidize the gallery in terms of covering the costs of operation: utilities, maintenance materials, and overhead.

If a member resigns from the gallery after they have had their solo exhibition, the member is required to pay off the remainder of their dues to the end of the term. For example, if a member resigns in March 2024 when they had their solo exhibition in February 2024, they are required to pay the dues from March to July 2023.

Time Commitment and Responsibilities:

12 month term from August 2023 - August 2024. 8-10 hours on average per month in gallery responsibilities. Common responsibilities for all the members are to work the general gallery operations.
